Outcomes from the first Australian Appreciative Inquiry forum

Appreciative Inquiry

On 6 October 2010, 45 people gathered at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne for the very first Appreciative Inquiry Forum – Exploring Appreciative Inquiry in Australia. Inspired by the global AI conference in Nepal 2009, the organisers sought to bring together Australian practitioners to harness and build on an Australian AI community and network.

Nine people at the forum, representing three states, volunteered their time and energy to be part of a ‘working party’ that will explore moving things forward from here. There will be more news as a result of their efforts – and more opportunities to become involved for those working with or interested in Appreciative Inquiry in Australia.

The outcomes from the workshop are available for reading here. To keep up to date with the evolving Australian AI network, have a look at the Appreciative Inquiry Australia website.
