Groundwater Visualisation
Modelling is not just for fashion: Groundwater Modelling in Howard East
A 3D visualisation model to help Howard East residents “see” underground water systems and the relationships between rainfall, recharge and groundwater levels in the Howard East aquifer has been developed by researchers from Tropical Rivers and Coastal Knowledge (TRaCK), Queensland University of Technology and CSIRO research team.
Groundwater Visualisation Modelling in the Northern Territory
The Howard East borefield relies on groundwater supplies to satisfy rural and urban residential, horticultural and commercial needs. However, despite recent and significant growth, there is no regional water plan currently in place to ensure that this resource is managed sustainably for future generations.
Groundwater Visualisation Modelling
A joint initiative between Queensland University of Technology researchers and the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Water is examining the use of new technologies to develop 3-D visualisation and animation models to support the management of groundwater resources.
