Methodology of Collaborative Cultural Mapping

This manual of collaborative mapping is an excellent resource developed by Amazon Conservation Team (ACT), a Virginia-based group with field offices in Brazil, Suriname, and Colombia. The manual was developed for the use of individuals and institutions that work with traditional communities that have expressed a desire to initiate a cultural mapping process in their territories. At the same time, it seeks to offer readers a basic understanding of the techniques used to create cultural maps, procedures carried out by and with the communities.
