Training Workshops Announced for music4

music v4 is one of the few software tools available that can accurately simulate real-time water sensitive design, making it easier to design urban developments that meet Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) standards. The eWater CRC has announced a series of two-day training workshop across the country to learn how simulating the performance of stormwater quality improvement measures can help in urban water management.

Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) is discussed throughout the workshop. Real world WSUD example projects are described and discussed, as well as recommended procedures for the planning and design of the most appropriate WSUD strategies for site conditions and constraints.

The training workshops promise the opportunity for practioners to gain technical insights from a leading WSUD practitioner in order to :

  • Understand how to determine whether proposed systems can meet specified water quality guidelines and objectives.
  • Save time in developing the best design for your site through:
    • More efficient ways to create your models
    • Techniques for designing your treatment train
    • Time saving tips and tricks.
  • Network with other stormwater specialists, exchange ideas and contact details.

About the workshops

The workshop program has been developed for engineering and environmental professionals working in local government, consultancies and natural resource management agencies.

Day 1 - Getting to know music: Understand the theory and assumptions behind the model and learn how to simulate and evaluate the performance of stormwater treatment measures, either individually or in a treatment train.

Day 2 - Intermediate music: Gain a greater understanding of the theory behind music, complete a series of tutorials on various stormwater treatment scenarios and develop a model for a real urban development.

This workshop is appropriate for those who have had limited experience with music and the topics are tailored to the learning needs of attendees.
