Sue Jackson
Sue Jackson is a social scientist and a senior research scientist with SCIRO Sustainable Ecosystems. She is an Executive Member of TRaCK, and has acted as a consultant in social impact assessment and Indigenous NRM to Indigenous organisations such as Northern Land Council, Kimberley Land Council and NAILSMA (North Australian Land and Sea Management Alliance).
She is currently a Research Advisor to the NAILSMA Indigenous Water Policy Group (funded by the National Water Commission) and the Kakadu National Park Research Committee. Her expertise in Indigenous values of water, Indigenous NRM issues in Northern Australia is demonstrated by being commissioned by LWA to prepare scoping reports on these and other matters.
Her research on water planning in the Northern Territory has influenced government policy on land and water management in the Daly River and Katherine water planning regions.
