Sharna Nolan (associate member)

nolanSharna Nolan joined CSIRO in July 2008. Sharna has an environmental and livelihoods background and has spent five years working with donors, government, farmers and traditional groups to develop strategies to improve rural livelihoods.

Prior to joining CSIRO, Sharna spent 18 months in Afghanistan as a research officer for the Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit and as a business development consultant for a large rural UNDP project based in Herat. She is currently working with CSIRO's Sue Jackson on a collaborative water planning project funded through the Tropical Rivers and Coastal Knowledge (TRaCK) research hub. The project aims to trial and evaluate community engagement tools and strategies with stakeholders involved in planning processes in the Darwin region.
